The Last Days of Chasen’s

Jamie Kilgore, Planters House, St. Louis, MO

“Chase’s vodka made me think of the old Chasen’s restaurant in L.A., where famous people used to hang out and drink martinis.”

1 oz (30 ml) Chase Marmalade Vodka

.5 oz (15 ml) Tanqueray No. TEN Gin

.75 oz (22.5 ml) Carpano Dry Vermouth

1 dash Regan’s Orange Bitters No. 6

1 grind salt

1 lemon twist, as garnish

1 thyme sprig, as garnish

1 olive, as garnish

Stir with ice (and love), and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Express the lemon twist, then skewer the thyme sprig through the twist and olive. Add as garnish.
