Kavé Pourzanjani, Middle Branch, New York, NY

“Like its namesake, I wanted a drink that tames this Chinese product for American audiences. The other ingredients frame the Baijiu in tiki flavors without covering the spirit’s complexity and foreign notes.”

1.5 oz (45 ml) HKB Hong Kong Baijiu

1 oz (30 ml) fresh grapefruit juice

1 oz (30 ml) pineapple juice

.75 oz (22.5 ml) heavy cream

.5 oz (15 ml) Lazzaroni Amaretto

.5 oz (15 ml) Suze

.5 oz (15 ml) Jägermeister

Nutmeg, as garnish

Pineapple leaves, as garnish

Shake over ice, and strain into a mug (preferably one shaped like a dragon). Add the garnishes.
