Calvados Boulard Competition
invites you to create your own
What’s a Trou Normand?
Literally the phrase translates to the “Norman Hole,” and it refers to a small shot of Calvados that digs a hole in your tummy to make room for whatever takes your fancy.
This tradition, dating back hundreds of years, is a ritual that’s normally performed toward the end of a big meal, but Calvados Boulard is bringing up to date so we can all enjoy Trou Normands at any time.
Would you like to help?
Create a new simple shooter using Calvados Boulard as a base, and submit your recipe in the form below. We’re looking for recipes that are easy to make, and show off the versatility of Calvados Boulard.
To get the ball rolling, here’s a sample recipe created by gaz regan.
1 ounce Boulard Calvados
1/4 ounce Cointreau
1/4 ounce Suze (or Green Chartreuse)
Stir over ice and strain into a small, chilled old-fashioned glass. Drink quickly, while it’s still laughing at you.
